Prahok is a crushed, salted and fermented fish paste  that is used in Cambodian cuisine as a seasoning or a condiment. However, poor people just eat grilled or steamed or chopped prahok with lemongrass and other stuff  with steamed rice.
 
Every houses in the village sure have stored at least one jar of Prahok. Beside rice, prahok is the main thing that they must have in the house.
 
Ingredients:
  • 2 Tbsp Fermented Fish Paste
  • 50g smoked Fish
  • 1 Krasang Fruit
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 2 stalks Lemongrass
  • 1/2 tsp Chicken Powder to taste
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 2-3 Bird’s Eyes Chillies
  • Mixed Herbs
Fresh Vegetables for Side Serving:
  • 10 stalks Water Morning Glory
  • 1 Cucumber
  • 2 Eggplant
  • 3 Sting Bean
  • 100g Cabbage
  • Other prefer vegetables
Methods:
  1. Chopped fermented fish paste, lemongrass, krasang fruit, garlic, smoked fish, chillies, herbs, sugar and chicken powder.
  2. Serve with steamed rice and accompany with fresh vegetables.
