Fish Flavour Crushed Chilli


Fish Flavour Crushed Chilli (Sawan) (Nam Prik Sawan) - Nam Prik Sawan has medium spicy level with just right salty and sweet. You can keep it long as 1 month after finish making. Its not too difficult to make and have not much ingredients. Eat together with fresh vegetables, blanched vegetables, fried eggs or boiled egg as you like.

  • 70 g of Dried Snake-head fish
  • 70 g of Dried shrimp
  • 20 g of Dried Large Chilli
  • 2 tbsp of Sugar 
  • 1 tsp of Salt
  • Palm Oil 1 Liter
  • 70 g of Shallots
  • Fresh Vegetables
  • 70 g of Large clove garlic 
  1. Use scissor cut dried fish and dried chilli into small piece. Then chop shallot and slice garlic. Set aside.
  2. Heat the oil over medium heat. Fry shallots and garlic until yellow crispy Medium heat. Bring up and set aside.
  3. Fry dried fish and dried shrimp until crispy golden. Bring up and set aside.
  4. Fried with chili heat. I scoop up the rest.
  5. Pound all fried ingredients thoroughly. Then roast in the pan with low heat. Put salt and serve with fresh vegetables you like.
